Former Eden Prairie High School center Michael Graham has decommitted from Minnesota Duluth and switched his verbal commitment to Notre Dame, the 17-year-old announced Wednesday on Twitter.
“Excited to announce my new commitment to play hockey at the University of Notre Dame,” Graham wrote.
Graham originally committed to UMD in September 2014, telling the News Tribune at the time he felt like UMD was the right fit. According to a source at UMD, he informed the Bulldogs two weeks ago he was backing out of his verbal commitment and looking at other schools.
Graham recorded 26 goals and 23 assists a year ago for Eden Prairie as a junior. He’s currently playing for the Fargo Force in the United States Hockey League and had a single assist in his first three games.
